What is responsible play?
Last updated 15 October 2026 (AEST) · 9 open draws · Method: definition written by our editors; the open-draw table is read from each operator's published draw pages on every sync.
Responsible play means treating a lottery ticket as a donation with a chance of a prize, spending only what you can afford to lose, and stopping if it stops being fun.
Set a budget before you buy, avoid chasing more tickets after a draw you did not win, and use the help available if gambling is causing problems. Gambling Help Online (gamblinghelponline.org.au, 1800 858 858) is free and confidential, 24 hours a day.
