Where prize home winners actually come from
Last updated 12 October 2026 (AEST) · 9 recorded wins · Method: winner town and state as published on each operator's own results and winner-story pages, pooled across every operator we track.
9 recorded wins across 9 towns and suburbs. Each operator publishes its own winners and only its own; this is all of them in one table.
Winner locations are as published by the operator — usually the winner's home town, not the location of the prize home they won.

What the winner map shows
A concentration of wins in one state usually reflects where tickets are sold, not luck. Most Australian charity lotteries market hardest in their home state, and several restrict entry by state entirely — so ticket volume, not geography, is doing the work.
Questions about where winners live
Which state wins the most Australian prize homes?
On the 9 wins we have on record, QLD holds the most. That mostly reflects where tickets are sold, since several operators restrict or concentrate sales by state. Figures come from each operator's own published draw pages, recorded at the time we last fetched them. Charity lotteries are games of chance regulated under state gaming licences. Always confirm the price, close time and terms on the operator's official site before you buy.
Do you have to live near the prize home to win it?
No. Winner locations on this page are the winner's own town, and they are frequently in a different state from the property. Eligibility is set by the operator's licence, not by distance from the house.
Where does this winner data come from?
From each operator's own published results and winner-story pages. Nothing on this page is estimated.
