What is an early bird draw?

An early bird draw is a smaller draw held before the main draw. Tickets bought before the early bird closing date are entered in it and still go into the main draw.
Early bird prizes are usually cash, a car or gold, and some lotteries run several early bird rounds. Buying early therefore gives a ticket more than one chance to win.
The early bird closing date is separate from the main closing date. Both are published on each draw page.
