A prize home lottery is a charity lottery whose first prize is a fully furnished house, usually with extra prizes such as cash, a car or gold bullion.
Operators buy or build a home, sell a fixed maximum number of tickets, and draw a winner on a set date. The money raised after prizes and costs goes to the charity the lottery supports.
Most draws also run smaller early bird draws before the main draw, and many offer ticket bundles that cost less per ticket.
